The Alocasia Stingray is an exotic plant that originates in Southeast Asia. This lovely, evergreen plant is renowned for its large leaves and long upturned tale, closely resembling a stingray. As such, the plant most certainly fits its name.
Light: These beautiful plants require bright, indirect light.
Watering: Try to keep the soil evenly moist. Over-watering, wet leaves, and soggy soil makes an alocasia plant susceptible to a variety of serious fungal infections. Check the soil frequently until you are sure of the plant's watering needs. Alocasia plants require less water during the winter when it's dormant.
Alocasia plants are toxic to pets. Typically, ingestion will result in swelling of the lips and tongue, and stomach irritation with possible vomiting.
