Stromanthe Triostar Care

Stromanthe is a strikingly beautiful houseplant that never fails to catch the eye. It has an exotic look with its dark green leaves that are delightfully variegated with streaks of pink and cream. As if that's not enough, the backsides of the leaves are a lovely shade of pinkish-purple.

Below are some tips and tricks to best care for your Stromanthe Triostar!

___

Light: Place the Triostar medium a warm, well-lit spot. The more indirect light the plant receives, the more variegation you will see on the leaves. Never expose it to direct sunlight, you will see burn spot on the leaves.

Water: Keep the soil just slightly damp and allow the top inch to dry out before watering again.  Be careful to not overwater the Triostar Stromanthe or the roots will rot and eventually the plant will die.  In the winter allow the soil to dry out a little more but never completely.

Humidity: Your Triostar loves a humid environment, so feel free to mist every day. Use a pebble tray or a humidifier during the winter months when the air tends to be much drier. The leaves will turn brown and crispy when the air is too dry.
