Bottle Palm Care

The Bottle Palm gets its name from the water bottle shape it gets as it matures. This semi-short, sun-loving palm gets to a height of ten feet over time making them a perfect indoor plant for bright light environments.

With bright tangerine fronds and wide, long leaves, these beautiful palms offer a tropical feel to any space.

Below are some tips and tricks to best care for your Bottle Palm!

___

Light: Bright, direct sun.

Water: Water every 5-7 days.

Cold Heartiness: One of the key areas of bottle tree palm care is provisions for protection from frost. Tie up the fronds gently and wrap the tree in a blanket or other insulating cover if cold temperatures are predicted. Even a light freeze can cause fronds to brown and die.

Fertilizer: Fertilize in early spring with a high potassium ratio food. Watch for pests and disease, and combat any signs immediately.
